I have discovered that art is where I can breathe again. Through fluid art and painting furniture, I create pieces that carry movement, calm, and reflection.
Each piece is made by hand and inspired by the belief that beauty and creativity can help us reconnect with ourselves.
My Service Dog Diesel is always by my side while I create, reminding me daily that healing, loyalty, and purpose can exist together.

Art With a Purpose was created from a simple belief that creativity can change lives.
Living with PTSD, art became a way for me to quiet the noise and reconnect with myself. What began as a personal form of healing grew into something bigger.
Through Art With a Purpose, every piece created helps support the training and placement of service dogs for individuals living with PTSD, medical conditions, and disabilities.
Service dogs like my own, Diesel, provide independence, safety, and hope for people who need it most.
When you bring one of these pieces into your home, you are not only adding beauty to your space - you are helping create life-changing partnerships between people and service dogs.

Meet Diesel
Diesel is more than my companion - he is my service dog, my steady presence, and a quiet part of the story behind Art With a Purpose.
Trained as a PTSD and medical service dog, Diesel provides grounding, awareness, medication reminders, and reassurance in moments when the world can feel overwhelming. His presence brings calm, focus, and confidence into everyday life.
Diesel has also walked beside me through some of the most important chapters of my life, including my recovery journey. As I approach seven years of sobriety, his constant presence, loyalty, and quiet support have been part of the strength that helped me rebuild my life one day at a time.
At home, Diesel is also my constant studio companion. While I work, he is usually nearby - resting quietly, watching over the room, getting a little paint on himself, or patiently waiting for our next walk together.
Like all well-trained service dogs, Diesel works with remarkable patience and discipline. Whether waiting calmly for a command, ignoring food placed in front of him until he is invited, or focusing on his work in public spaces, his training reflects the intelligence, trust, and partnership that service dogs bring to the people they support.
But beyond his work, Diesel is also simply himself - Loyal, gentle, bouncy, playful, and deeply devoted. His playful and quiet presence has helped me step back out into the world, one walk, one errand, and one day at a time.
Through Art With a Purpose part of my hope is to raise awareness for the life-changing impact service dogs can have for people living with PTSD, medical conditions, and disabilities.
Because healing doesn't happen alone.
Sometimes it walks beside us on four paws.
